From the SCMSC committee, a big thank you to our sponsors, the land owners and all our riders for a great 2011 season. 2012 membership forms are up so get yours in and be ready for a good 2012 series, a pile of new stuff on the cards! 2012 INFORMATION For those who have not heard, MSA medical cover is now compulsory for ALL riders. This includes riders who in the past used their own medical aid. The costs are R1,200 for National and Regional riders and R560 for Clubmans riders and the cover is R150,000 per incident. Should a rider require more cover, options are available on the licence application forms. THE RESTRICTED/"ONE DAY"/SOCIAL LICENCE STORY They will be issued again this year and they are NOT 1 day licences, they will be valid for the whole year and are known as SOCIAL licences. They can be bought on the day at the event OR can be bought from MSA prior to the event. Riders will not receive an MSA racing number but will be given a number by the club. This number is NOT transferrable to other clubs events. These licences are ONLY for riders who have never raced before. The licence will cost you R250 and this is for the licence ONLY, you will also have to take out cumpulsory medical cover from MSA which is another R300. Race entry fees are not included in these costs There will be a separate class for these riders and the club is NOT obliged to allocate points, give trophies etc. If you want points, positions, trophies and the rest, rather get a proper licence.
